Each year, Ford renews its annual GT edition and this year it pays homage to the team past victories at Le Mans with ’67 Heritage. Classical yet unique, this supercar will be even rarer than the others.
Ford GT limited series always pays homage to past victories at Le Mans, alike this year’s car and the previous one. Ford GT’67 Heritage is a reminder of 1967 victory and a true souvenir of the talented all-American team composed of Dan Gurney and A.J. Foyt.
To preserve a “traditional” look, Ford GT’67 Heritage wears the mythical white stripes but this time on a glossy Red Race paint with multiple carbon fibre components. Concerning the new elements, it also boasts a new Frozen White No. 1 hood and door graphics as well as new 20-inches one-piece forged aluminium wheels in silver satin clear coat and finally new black lug nuts.
Always concerning Ford GT’67 Heritage’s new appearance you can see in 2018 edition new red brake calipers and silver rear view mirrors caps that complete the new colour pack.
There is no doubt that the two winning pilots from 1967 would have envied Ford GT’67 Heritage’s cockpit. Indeed in 2018 the new interior pack reveals nothing vintage whether with its style or equipment.
Then, Ford GT’67 Heritage comes with new leather trimming for the carbon fiber seats enhanced by red stitching until the steering wheel. The belts are red too and make a perfect contrast with the anodized grey paddle shifters. Finally, 2018 look is always stunning and will seduce more amateurs thanks to subtle but elegant details like the new satin black appliqués on the dashboard, door bezels and x-brace.
Under the bonnet, 2018 edition could also be placed on a podium thanks to its amazing V6 bi-turbo 3.5L that develops 656 ph and is coupled to a double clutch 7-speed transmission. And for the rarity, Ford GT’67 Heritage will be equipped with unique serialized identification plate as well as new matte carbon fiber door sills.
Usually, new Ford GT is limited to 250 cars per year but we’ve heard that Ford GT’67 Heritage will be even rarer as Ford plans to further limit the 2018 series!
